I know this is a long shot but are there any BalanceNG experts or reasonably adept users that can help me out?
I have a reasonably simple setup but trying to get a VIP on one LAN to balance to targets on another is just not working for me.
And if not, does anyone know of an easy solution to handle that type of translation while keeping the source address?
please take a look in the BalanceNG manual, available at this URL: http://www.inlab.de/balanceng/BalanceNGManual-CURRENT-2.pdf .
The key is probably in your case, that the default route of the targets (the real servers) needs to point back to a BalanceNG represented routing address (usually the “network virt” address).
HTH + Best Regards,
Ahhh! That is an aaha moment. I’ll have to try this when I get back to the office. It does make sense. I just didn’t pick up that piece from reading the manual. Probably staring at the screen too much today.
